SentryKumo is fully committed to compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which came into effect on May 25, 2018. We respect the privacy rights of our users and recognize the importance of protecting personal data.

We have implemented comprehensive measures to ensure that our data processing activities meet GDPR requirements and that your rights as a data subject are fully protected.

2. Your Rights Under GDPR

As a user located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have certain rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right to Access: You can request copies of your personal data.
  • Right to Rectification: You can request that we correct any information you believe is inaccurate or complete information you believe is incomplete.
  • Right to Erasure: You can request that we erase your personal data, under certain conditions ("Right to be Forgotten").
  • Right to Restrict Processing: You can request that we restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
  • Right to Object to Processing: You can object to our processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
  • Right to Data Portability: You can request that we transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.

3. Data Controller and Processor

SentryKumo acts as a Data Controller for the personal information you provide to us directly (such as account information). We may also act as a Data Processor for certain services where we process data on your behalf.

4. Lawful Basis for Processing

We process your personal data only when we have a lawful basis to do so, including:

  • Consent: You have given us clear consent for a specific purpose.
  • Contract: The processing is necessary for a contract we have with you, or because you have asked us to take specific steps before entering into a contract.
  • Legal Obligation: The processing is necessary for us to comply with the law (not including contractual obligations).
  • Legitimate Interests: The processing is necessary for our legitimate interests or the legitimate interests of a third party, unless there is a good reason to protect your personal data which overrides those legitimate interests.

5. International Data Transfers

As a global company, we may transfer your data to countries outside the EEA. When we do so, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data, such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission.

6. Data Breach Notification

In the unlikely event of a data breach that is likely to result in a high risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify you and the appropriate supervisory authority without undue delay, as required by GDPR.
